We truly believe that when a company benefits from a community, it should in some measure give back. We feel that one of the noblest ways of giving back is to support a charity that is really meaningful to you. It is in line with that thinking that one of our primary missions as a company is to be part of the war to eliminate ALS or Lou Gerhigs Disease through awareness and research for treatment and a cure. On July 24th 2016, I lost my sister-in-law and dearest friend to this horrid disease. With a never ceasing smile and a thumbs up, she fought as hard as anyone could against it but with no cure and very little by way of treatment, the only possible outcome led to that day.
It has been almost a hundred years since Lou Gerhig put his name on this disease, and yet today there is very little known as to a direction for a cure and only one medication for marginal treatment. In a country as great as America, I just know that we can do better, a lot better. I have vowed that the ending of her life would be the beginning of the end of ALS’s reign of misery and horror. To this end we humbly ask for donations of any denomination to be made to the ALS Association, which can be contacted at Webuny or on Facebook or call them at (315) 413-0121.
We thank you most sincerely. This terrible disease is affecting our family as it is so many others, and we hope to play a part in its eradication.
